Pet Air Travel Temperature Restrictions
Once local temps at your origin or destination airport reaches 85 degrees, commerical pet transports are generally halted for safety and liability reasons. Spring and Autumn are historically the best times for traveling to Hawaii with your pets.
Extreme temperatures in any direction can shut down the process without much notice in some cases. It’s best to plan well ahead if at all possible.
Dog Breeds Restricted From Flying Commercial
Flat-nosed (brachycephalic) dog breeds often face flight restrictions due to their increased risk of breathing difficulties and heatstroke during air travel. Airlines may have specific policies regarding the transportation of these breeds, especially in the cargo hold.
