Pet Transport 101

First things first..
You should understand that like almost every other service based industry, the pet transport industry is lousy with imposters, scams and con artists. It’s very easy to be taken advantage of by people posing as real pet relocation services. We do go deeper into the industry scams over at our Pet Scams page

Here we’ll try and answer a few of the most common questions we get from potential customers.
We want you to be as informed as possible, so if your question isn’t addressed here, please feel free to email us anytime at [email protected]  or visit our Facebook page and we can answer you through Messenger.

If for some reason you wouldn’t want to have a health certificate, we do offer a liability waiver.

Three reasons

1 – Per USDA requirements, all animals must be in a kennel during transports.

2 – Should we have to hit the brakes or take other evasive actions to prevent a collision, your pet is safer in a confined space where they wont be tossed around the cabin.

3 – No pet carriers insurance provider would pay damages for an injured or lost pet if the proper guidelines weren’t adhered to.

Citizen Shipper is not a pet relocation service. It is a bid site site where “citizens” can offer to ship you pet for a lower price than the next guy.
Pets and animals are just one of many categories from furniture to tractors, many times you’re getting quotes from people wanting to pad a trip.
We strongly suggest you proceed with caution if considering sites like this, there are horror stories out there that have resulted from these types of sites.
There is little to no true accountability, recourse or verifications.
You’re flying a bit blind and taking a gamble.

The same goes for USHIP or the new kid in town SHIPLY.
